LYDON PLASTICS
Lydon Electrically Heated Cabinet Oven For PTFE

Lydon Model Series 1362 Electrically Heated Cabinet Oven with one pass external heating chamber was developed specially for fluoropolymer processing at a pilot level or for larger scale R&D. It gained early acclaim for its ability to handle compounds that become volatile prior to reaching PTFE sintering temperatures, thus allowing the development of new fluoropolymer compounds with added materials that produced enhanced properties.

This oven series provides for polymers and additives to be held on trays for recirculation inside the oven chamber but not through the electric heater. Program control allows processing at low temperatures initially and slow increase in temperature to sintering point. Lydon's development of the Lydon Volatile Ventilation Management systems goes even further to allow full recirculation by Managing the Process Ventilation in such a way as to keep flammable and combustible vapors below the lower explosive limit at all times during loading and processing. If your experimental process will use volatile organic compounds, ask Lydon about VVM for your Lydon Oven.
