Lydon has built ovens for PTFE since it was first created. Lydon Ovens are used to sinter molded parts, thermally enhance product qualities, and almost all heated processes in the fluoropolymer family supply chain. The first picture is a Lydon Model 4352-LD-T8 Electrically Heated Hearth Oven with Lift Door and hood. It has been use for extruded tube, billet and small molded parts with a slight oven variation to suit each product and process. Lydon Ovens for fluoropolymers are as diverse and unique as the end products they make. The second oven shown is very tall (as opposed to a very short man) to meet the needs of customers who sinter large cylindrical shapes as a prelude to making thin PTFE sheets and tapes. Lydon builds tall billet ovens in about three different "flavors" each to suit the product processed and the factory in which the oven will work.
