The Lydon Oven Model Series 3443-T2 was developed to polymerize acrylic monomer between glass sheets into sheet acrylic stock using air for the supply and removal of heat to and from the casting. This exceptional dry steam heated oven uses individually adjustable louvered air walls for precise high velocity laminar flow between the horizontal planes of the sheets. The use of high pressure steam to heat this process provides an extra margin of safety and inherent temperature limits. Count on Lydon for explosion-resistant technologies and safety systems.
The unit pictured is an oven with one chamber in two sections that has high volume recirculation and high volume ventilation. With special materials handling systems co-designed by Lydon and the end user's engineers, the oven shown produces 60 acrylic sheets per batch. Using air as the heat transfer medium frees you of the mess and contamination of oil-based polymerization processes.
