Some oven contents are best lowered into the oven chamber from above. For these items, Lydon created the Pit Oven: An oven that is top loading where the oven either rests on the laboratory floor or is recessed into the lab floor with the oven top flush with the facility floor. We call it the Lydon 5338 model series of electrically heated R&D pit oven. If you are developing a special part made of extruded or 'pull-truded' fiber cloths layered with other materials for strength, you may wish to own a Lydon Pit Oven that can accept your part from above, including vacuum bag and tooling, and connect to external vacuum pumps, sensors and data acquisition equipment while being processed.
The example is a Lydon Oven Model 5338-T12 with counterbalanced top door, cyclonic forced air flow to bathe the sample in moving hot air, minimum 32KW heater, capable of up to 1200°F (even though you may not process that warm), and all the pass-through penetrations to keep you informed of just what is going on with your part inside the oven.
