Lydon Builds Ovens that are large enough to walk in. Such ovens often utilize a cart or truck to hold and carry the product into the oven and around the facility. When such a manually pushed conveyance is used, the oven style is called “truck loading”. Selection and design of the truck is almost as important as the design of the oven around it. If the product is placed on trays, the truck fixes the aerodynamics of the load so that air flows above and below each tray. Other products may use a simple rack that rolls to and into the oven.
Lydon Model Series 3330 Electrically Heated Truck Loading Ovens are used in many different heat processes, such as drying, sterilizing, sintering, pre-heating and curing. This model series has cross flow air recirculation to move heated air across the work space through the truck and the product. Size range from just larger than the 1330 model series to a few meters in any dimension.
This oven features a batch capacity of a single truck with trays and the capability to process to temperatures of 450°C (850°F) with high volume recirculation flow. This special unit also includes powered exhaust with automatic dampers, proportioning electronic control and safety systems, and recording instruments for validation and documentation. The oven is used for processing of special polytetrafluoroethylene billets, shapes or granulations.
